🕶️🤍 NASA’s X-59 passenger plane, also known as the “son of Concorde”, is being developed to transport passengers faster than the speed of sound. Great! Because I like getting from point A to point B as faaaaast 💨 and as smoooooooth as possible 🤍 :)



🕶️The aircraft will use a “supersonic pump” to achieve this feat and is expected to fly almost twice as fast as Concorde, which had a maximum cruising speed of 1,354 mph. 💨


🕶️The X-59 is expected to fly at a cruising speed of Mach 1.42 (1,510 km/h; 937 mph) at an altitude of 55,000 ft (16,800 m). The aircraft is being developed by Lockheed Martin for NASA’s Low-Boom Flight Demonstrator project.
